EXPOSURE – WHY STYLING MATTERS
The video you are looking at is intended to answer a very simple question, which resonates throughout the exhibition. Why does styling matter?
Styling matters because it shapes how we see and feel fashion. It can be seen as a bridge between clothes and meaning, turning garments into stories about identity, mood, and intention.
Styling is a form of authorship, negotiating private identity with public perception. At its best, it creates dreamlike worlds, bending norms of gender, class, and identity, and inspiring other creative fields.
In the words of the stylist you will learn more about their role in this video directed by Nicolas Caeyers, before you head to the last section of the exhibition behind you, entitled The Shining of the Muses.
